Nashtar is a new hit Geo TV drama series written by Maha Malik and directed by Tere Bin fame Seraj Ul Haq. Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi are the producers of the show. The cast also includes Usmaan Peerzada, Haroon Shahid, Yousuf Bashir Qureshi, Shahnawaz Zaidi, Mahmood Aslam, Nida Mumtaz, Ali Dayyan Walji, Muhammad Faizan Sheikh, Ramsha Salahuddin, Syed Afzal Ali, Fatima Gohar, Ayesha Gul, Laiba Rehman Butt, Zarafshan Amir, Annie Zaidi, Muhammad Asad Gojar, and Talia Jan. The story of the show revolves around an aggressive man Shah Dawood, played by Danish Taimoor, who falls in love with a young girl, Bareera, played by Anmol Baloch. The show features a toxic love story between the main leads.
So far, Geo TV has aired several episodes, with each episode getting around ten million views, but the drama has not been able to spark discussion like Aap Ki Izzat, Dar E Nijat, and Zanjeerain, because most fans think that it has a typical, predictable Danish Taimoor script. In the recent episode, Shah Dawood threatened Bareera and her fiancé, Rafay, which was disliked by the drama viewers.
Netizens are not liking Shah Dawood harassing Bareera and Rafay. One wrote, “I don’t know why I feel anxiety whenever I see this drama.” Another wrote, “Now the public is fed up with such old, repetitive scripts.
