Nida Yasir is a highly popular television personality in Pakistan, widely admired for hosting the long-running morning show Good Morning Pakistan on ARY Digital since 2011. She is also a successful producer and entrepreneur. Nida has been married to renowned TV actor and director Yasir Nawaz for more than two decades, and they have three children Sila, Farid and Balaaj. She often speaks about her successful marriage on her morning show.
Today, on Good Morning Pakistan, Nida Yasir revealed how she would approach choosing a husband for her daughter.
Responding to Ghazal Siddiqui’s question, “What qualities do you expect in a son-in-law if your daughter introduces someone to you?” Nida Yasir said, “As a mother, I feel we should give children enough wisdom and confidence so that they choose a suitable partner whom we cannot object to. My parents did the same with me. I am okay with my daughter’s choice, and I would prefer that. My husband, as a father, might look at other factors as well, but as a mother, I would want to respect my daughter’s preference. I have never objected to whatever she has wanted in her life; I have always provided everything according to her wishes. Based on my upbringing, I feel that if my daughter chooses someone, he will be someone compatible with her. I have also given her enough exposure and have taken her out into the world; I did not keep her confined at home. I believe she has a better understanding of choosing her future partner.” Watch here:
