Talking about differences with husband and in-laws, Nida Yasir said, “What happens is, for example, if I give my own example, at a certain age, married girls tend to see the smallest things as major issues because they aren’t mature enough. Whenever I faced problems in my married life, I would instantly go to my mother. Due to my impulsive nature, I would cry in front of her. My mother was highly experienced in these matters, she would quietly listen to me, thinking that I might just be angry. She never fell prey to my crying and never paid any attention to my complaints. Otherwise, mothers often start disliking their sons-in-law after hearing negative things about them. Eventually, after a couple of days, the daughter and her husband reconcile and become romantic again, but the mother may continue to hold negative feelings if she is not wise. My mother used to find my stories boring. She acted like a father figure to whom I could tell everything, vent my feelings, and then move on.” Watch here:

She further advised girls, saying, “I have great advice for girls. I have a practical solution. At times when you are hurt, you naturally need to vent. Instead of choosing a family member, share your feelings with a wise, trustworthy or even a foolish friend, just vent. It will make you feel better. Also, always make new friends, keep some for fun and some to share your personal secrets with.” Watch here:
