Nida Yasir is a prominent Pakistani television host, producer, and former actress who is happily married to director-producer Yasir Nawaz. She has been hosting the popular morning show Good Morning Pakistan on ARY Digital for around 18 years. Her show has earned her a widespread recognition. She also established herself as a successful film producer with giving hit films like Wrong No., Mehrunisa V Lub U, and Chakkar.

This month, Nida went on a recreational trip with both of her sisters. She chose Pakistan’s northern areas for her vacation. However, in a recent episode of Good Morning Pakistan, she expressed her concerns about the littering in northern Pakistan.

Nida Yasir said, “I thought today I will say this to people, the northern areas are Allah’s gift to us. we need to keep these places clean. It was deeply distressing to see garbage everywhere—even as I was walking up the trail—plastic bottles, chip packets, empty wrappers, and trash strewn everywhere; the sheer amount of litter was unbelievable. I saw the same thing in Murree: plastic bags and garbage scattered all around. Allah Almighty has blessed us with such a beautiful place but I don’t know why our people don’t value it? They leave so much garbage outside during picnics. Even there, I saw people throwing away leftover food from their tables. I asked them, “Why are you throwing it there? Why not place a large trash bin here so people can dispose of their waste properly?” I didn’t see a single trash bin in sight. Seeing that was truly disheartening.” Watch here:
