Mikaal said that Bollywood takes advantage of Pakistani actors. They will always use them in the worst way and they will portray that the actor is Pakistani negatively via either script or through other means. I request Lux Style Awards and their jury to at least nominate those who have done stellar work. It is greatly disappointing to me as an artist that LSA routinely ignores other artists who are doing great work. For example, Mehwish Hayat who was great in London Nahi Jaunga. Zara Noor Abbas for Badshah Begum and Ushna Shah for Habs. Who exactly are the jury members, do they watch our shows even? Or do they simply choose who is popular? It is one thing to not win an award but to simply be ignored even if you have done great work is heartbreaking to not just one artist but to all.

Shagufta Ejaz lost her mother some time back. Her mother had a painful fight with cancer and her journey was not easy at all. She was a very brave lady and remained staedfast throughout her treatment but it was no easy feat.

Shagufta took to her YouTube for cancer awareness and shared that spotting cancer is the most important. She shared that her mom had uterine cancer first and her hysterectomy was done. This was years back and at that time Shagufta did not know that cancer is curable if detected earlier and she was heartbroken on the diagnosis.

Years later, her mother got breast cancer but it got detected at stage 4 and therefore not much could be done. She shared how detecting abnormalities in your body is important and that family support is the most important during treatment. The cancer spread in her mother’s organs and she left this mortal world later in 2021.

Shagufta shared that cancer awareness is important and people who have a cancer history in their families should get screenings done.

Mayi Ri is a popular Pakistani drama serial that airs daily on Ary Digital at 7:00 pm. Mayi Ri featured the unique topic of child marriage. The drama is about a complex love & hate story of two young cousins who were forced into a wedlock. The drama is produced by Fahad Mustafa in collaboration with Dr. Ali Kazmi, under the banner of Big Bang Entertainment Productions.
