Alizeh Shah tried to throw her sandal at me, but I moved out of the way. She was completely high when she misbehaved. The camera shooting the scenes also captured the video of us during the chaos. Alizeh insisted that the video should not get out, as it would be the ultimate source of her defamation.”

The struggle that started in 1857 culminated to its peak in the year 1947 when people of the sub-continent finally got independence. India and Pakistan both appeared on the world map and since then Pakistan has gone through many struggles. We lost Quaid e Azam a year after the country came into being. PTV is the oldest channel in the country. There was a time that Pakistanis only had the national channel for entertainment as well as news. All the dramas used to air from PTV and it had the monopoly over all the work in the industry. This also explains the reverence old Pakistani actors and actresses still hold for their old channel. PTV at that time produced great gems and many of the dramas are still loved by the audience.

The channel, however, went through a nose dive as private channels came in and PTV just could not keep up with the demands of the viewers. Some one off events do keep happening and an award show by the name of PTV Icon Awards were held which was attended by the then Prime Minister as well as his old cabinet members. Pakistan will be celebrating 76th Independence Day on 14th of August, 2023. Our beloved country Pakistan came into being in 1947 on 14th of August. Kiran Tabier is a talent powerhouse and she has done some great roles in her career. She has many dramas under her belt and she got a lot of recognition for her role as Saeeda in Parizaad. She also got viral for a mini-series she did and Shiza and Fiza were trending everywhere on social media. She has since been off the screen as she is taking a temporary sabbatical ands he is not sure when she will be making a comeback on television.

Pakistan has a very scattered schooling system. We have children studying in Madrassas with very little to no access to the worldly disciplines of study. Then we have students studying in the matri, FSc system while there is a small ratio studying in the elite schools under Cambridge and Agha Khan Boards etc. So, the country has no one type of environment in the basic schools we have but College Gate came under criticism for showing a college that does not really exist in Pakistan.

College Gate was an instant hit with the audience as soon as it came out. People loved the drama in the show but many thought that there are no such schools in Pakistan and the environment shown is foreign to people in Pakistan.

The cast of College Gate gave an interview to Fuchsia and Zarar Kahn and Mamya Shajjafar weighed in on this criticism. They shared that such schools do exist in Pakistan. He said that he studied in such a school while Mamya also shared that her school had this sort of environment.
