The crew and fellow artists are on Alizeh’s side because the incident occurred around 6pm and Alizeh did not even leave the set til 12am after she completed her shoot, even after being humiliated and assaulted in front of everyone, and that speaks volumes of her work ethic. Hina Bayat was a guest on Nida Yasir’s show and she shared how her parents instilled the love of Pakistan into her. She shared a beautiful Azadi Day tradition they had. Hina said that they used to wake up and pray 2 nafals for the country and then they would visit Quaid e Azam’s mausoleum for Fatiha. Waseem Badami is famous Pakistani journalist and television host and who rose to fame through his political talk show 11th Hour. The host became more famous after starting the Ramadan transmission Shaan E Ramazan with Junaid Jamshed. His cricket show Har Lamha Purjosh has a significant viewer ship. He also runs the franchise of a skin and beauty brand ‘WB by Himani’. Waseem Badami has a huge social media fan following.

Recently, he appeared in The Talk Talk Show which is hosted by Hassan Choudary. In the recent interview, Waseem Badami revealed the details about the last days of late famous television anchor Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. Waseem Badami said, “I have a lot of messages and voice notes of Aamir Bhai, they are still saved with me. I also remember my last call with him. I called him fifteen days before his death. We talked in detail, I would share a few things with you. I was in London and he was dealing with that last controversy. He was already in a vulnerable state, he was getting a lot of backlash from all sides”. He further added , “a lot of anchors tried to ask me about him but I didn’t add anything in the controversy, instead, I called him, he was completely shattered, I never found him this much weaker in life, he was crying like a child, I assured him of help, I said, ‘Aamir Bhai, everything will be fine’. My last message to him was, ‘please pick the phone up’ but he didn’t. I also called our mutual friend Minhaj to find where Dr. Aamir Liaquat is, we could not meet him we could not trace him because he changed all his numbers, no one knew about his whereabouts. Yasir Shami is a brilliant Pakistani host who rose to fame through YouTube podcasts and reporting. Yasir Shami’s unique comedy style was praised the social media users and he became an overnight star. Yasir Shami is also famous for covering the interviews of Pakistanis who marry foreigners. Yasir Shami has taken interviews of many foreigners who are married to Pakistanis including an 83 years old lady. Yasir Shami is working with Daily Pakistan as a reporter.

Recently, the brilliant host Yasir Shami appeared in Public Tv’s show Public Demand, hosted by Mohsin Abbas Haider. In the show, he talked about reality of marriages between Pakistanis and foreigners. He said that he gets all the information about these foreigners from his friends who are in immigration. He says that such interviews are not for free as the channel gives the money to the couples. Talking about the reality behind these marriages, Yasir Shami said, “I enjoy such interviews (says in fun), I have interviewed an 83 years old woman who came to Hafizabad from Poland, for a 25 years old boy to marry him, first I thought that they are lying but then I checked her passport, she was 83 years old. Actually, this is a business, whatever they do, they settle the things with eachother for example the boys give money to them and the foreigners give them nationality or help them out in documentation. It all happens with the consent of both the parties, it is a business”. Yasir Shami further said, “I also want to say to the authorities to keep a strict check and balance on this as it is very important”.

The struggle that started in 1857 culminated to its peak in the year 1947 when people of the sub-continent finally got independence. India and Pakistan both appeared on the world map and since then Pakistan has gone through many struggles. We lost Quaid e Azam a year after the country came into being. We have had a long list of tragedies from losing Fatima Jinnah, Madar e Millat, the separation of East Pakistan, multiple dictatorships, the never-ending hell that is the so-called war on terror and thousands of lives lost. But the country is still standing and the citizens are still resilient. Such is the spirit of pakistan and such is the spirit of Pakistanis.

Today as we celebrate the 76 years till Pakistan came into being and its 77th 14th August, we struggle economically, socially and politically but Pakistanis have the resolve to rise once again. They feel battered but still optimistic. The love of their country still remains tall and that is true for our celebrities as well. 76 years ago, Pakistan appeared on the map of the world after a long political and constitutional struggle of the Muslims of India. Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Muslims of the sub-continent gave countless sacrifices to achieve this homeland. PTV is the oldest channel in the country. There was a time that Pakistanis only had the national channel for entertainment as well as news. All the dramas used to air from PTV and it had the monopoly over all the work in the industry. This also explains the reverence old Pakistani actors and actresses still hold for their old channel. PTV at that time produced great gems and many of the dramas are still loved by the audience.

The channel, however, went through a nose dive as private channels came in and PTV just could not keep up with the demands of the viewers. Some one off events do keep happening and an award show by the name of PTV Icon Awards were held which was attended by the then Prime Minister as well as his old cabinet members.
