The drama initially got criticism for being the copy of Geo TV’s recently wrapped hit soap serial Siyani in which a poor girl trapped a guy after knowing he’s rich. Meesni followed the same plot but also showed the next generations in it. The cast includes Mamia, Bilal Qureshi, Faiza Gilani and Najeeba Faiz. The drama got a decent viewership and became talk of the town.

Nooran Makhdoom is a Pakistani drama writer who has gained popularity through her recent hit serial Tere Bin. The drama writer is also facing criticism for the recent twists and turns in the drama Tere Bin. Tere Bin fans are showing their anger after the recent turn of events. Many fans have now termed the script as a bogus piece of writing with brainless characters who act opposite to their personality traits. In the drama, Murtasim was shown as an extremely kind-hearted man who respects elders but he often deviates from his character easily. Meerab is a strong-headed feminist but always acts opposite to her personality, her worst act was to give a safe exit to Maryam so that she can marry Anas. Meerab is also not interested in fulfilling her husband’s rights yet she loves to attract him with her beauty. Geo Television Network’s popular serial Tere Bin has become the talk of the town since the last two controversial episodes of the drama aired. When the Tere Bin devotees were expecting romantic sequences between Meerab and Murtasim, the main leads of the drama displayed extremely hateful and obnoxious behavior towards each other. Meerab slapped and spat on Murtasim which was condemned by fans. Fans were of the view that Meerab’s actions are not justified and there can be and should be no redemption after this ugly behaviour of Meerab. Fans demanded the makers to end the drama soon as possible. Fans were already debating on Meerab’s behaviour when the upcoming episode’s promo hinted at the bedroom scene where Meerab was sitting and crying and Murtasim was going out of the room. Fans believed that the male lead has forcefully consummated his marriage with Meerab.
