Barzakh is a series written and directed by Asim Abbasi. It released simultaneously on Zee Zindagi and Zindagi’s YouTube channel in Pakistan as it marked the comeback of Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed together after Zindagi Gulzar Hai. The series got a lot of backlash in Pakistan for its LGBTQ content and it was also pulled down from YouTube Pakistan.

Barzakh has been criticized widely while it was also appreciated for the cinematography and experiment as it is a very different genre which is not generally explored in Pakistan. The series has reached another milestone as it is nominated for an award at Asian Academy Creative Awards alongside shows like Heeramandi, Railway Men and Panchayat.

Duniyapur is a new drama that just started on Green TV. This is a mega project by Green TV with a huge cast and it started airing last night. The cast has big names like Nauman Ijaz, Manzar Sehbai, Sami Khan, Ramsha Khan and Khushhal Khan to name a few. The drama looks like Pakistan’s own version of Mirzapur. The show has great direction, some really strong performances and action sequences that look real.

The stage is set and the two families: Nawabs and Adams are fighting for the ownership and control of Duniyapur. Sami Khan comes in as the police officer who will face both of them head on. The first episode had the right amount of thrill and action to hook the audience while all the main characters were introduced.

Talking about her struggles, Mahi said, “I have been working since I was sixteen. I have been financially supporting my family, I am the eldest sibling and I really wanted to do something for my family. Also, our parents supported us, now all my siblings are well to do and they stand somewhere in society”.

Talking about getting showbiz offer she said that it was a miracle that she joined Facebook, she was first offered Mehmoodabad ki Malkaain which she couldn’t do because her father didn’t let her do this, but later on he agreed a s she did an ARY Digital’s project after which her acting career started.

Talking about the participant, the public is rooting for, Mahi Baloch said, “I think fans are rooting for Aqeel and he may win because he’s playing good”.

Mahi said, “the contestants who are fake in Tamasha are Dania Enwer and Ayaz Samoo were fake and I saw that when I came back from the Tamasha 3. Besides this, Anam Tanveer was irritating, she used to irritate us a lot and that’s why we all treat her harshly but I didn’t know we were trolling or bullying her. Wajiha was also playing the game but she told me that she’s doing it for her game, so, I was aware of her actions”.

Talking about Shamyl Khan, Khushhal Khan said, “let me tell you this guy is an amazing person to work with, I was a little nervous on our first day on the set but he was extremely friendly, he instantly asked, ‘hey how are you? What’s up?’, he was so cordial during our meetings. We met before but he didn’t remember. Working with him was amazing. He was so passionate and dedicated, the whole cast was comfortable with each other. Everybody was so humble”

Talking about Manzar Sehbai and Nauman Ijaz, Khushhal Khan and Ali Raza said, “They were the coolest seniors on the set. They were the coolest people, they are so chill. They just blend in and make you feel easy, Manzar Sahab is such a cutie and these seniors are so dedicated with their work, we shot in extreme cold but Manzar Sehbai was there for every scene and he didn’t come closer to the heaters. Talking about, how Duniyapur is different, Khushhal Khan said, “People are saying that it is a film but let me tell you it is a drama. Yes, it has been shot like a film and people are getting film vibes because of the way it is made. He added that Gohar worked for a week on the script to get the character in its truest form. If Gohar was in Bollywood, he would be in a different league of actors.
