Pakistan Idol is the newly launched Pakistani version of American Idol, a popular musical reality show. The show has brought the globally acclaimed franchise back to Pakistan and is scheduled to air on Green Entertainment. The first few audition episodes are about the nationwide search for singing talent, with judges Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Bilal Maqsood on the panel. Clips from the show are doing rounds on social media, and viewers are loving the incredible raw talent being showcased.

This week’s Lahore auditions featured some exceptionally talented singers whose performances the judges thoroughly enjoyed. Maham Tahir, Romaisa, Muhammad Nabeel and Ahsan Malik stood out as the best contestants.

Ahsan Malik
Ahsan Malik moved Bilal Maqsood to tears with his emotional performance of the ghazal Ab Ke Tajdeed e Wafa Ka Nahi Imkaan Jana.
Maham Tahir
Maham Tahir stole the show with her soulful rendition of Abida Parveen’s Tere Ishq Nachaya. Her voice and style were quite similar to those of Abida Parveen.
Muhammad Nabeel
Muhammad Nabeel surprised the judges with the emotional Punjabi song Sada Chidyan da Chamba Ve. They enjoyed his powerful performance. Watch Here:
Vishal
Vishal’s performance of the slow song Aaj Janey Ki Zid Na Karo was also loved by the judges.
Romaisa Tariq
Romaisa Tariq impressed the judges with her funky and fast version of Mussarat Nazir’s Punjabi song Long Gawacha, which was loved by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Fawad Khan.
