Dilip Kumar was an Indian actor and film producer, best known for his work in Hindi cinema. Referred to as the “Tragedy King” and “The First Khan”, he has been credited for bringing a distinct form of method acting technique to cinema. Dilip Kumar holds the record for most wins for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor and was also the inaugural recipient of the award. Dilip Kumar debuted as an actor in the film Jwar Bhata, produced by Bombay Talkies. In a career spanning over five decades, Dilip Kumar worked in over 65 films.
Dilip Kumar passed away today morning at the age of 98 in Hinduja Hospital Mumbai. He was suffering from prolonged illness. As per the doctor Jalil Parkar, who was treating him, “He passed away due to prolonged illness at 7.30 am.” Pakistani showbiz stars expressed their deep grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, who passed away at the age of 98.
