Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the Pakistan-administered side of Kashmir, has been facing unrest for months following the 2026 elections. A few days ago, Kashmir faced the worst torture after elections were held across the region. According to the daily reports, massive protests erupted after Kashmiris reported alleged election rigging. The people demanded protection of their democratic mandate. The situation escalated after clashes broke out between security forces and demonstrators. Local residents and activists have claimed that police and authorities used force against protesters, with reports circulating on social media alleging that more than 40 Kashmiris have been killed.

While celebrities like Mishi Khan, Madiha Rizvi, Sabeena Farooq, Durrefishan Saleem, Kinza Hashmi, Samar Jafri, Nameer Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Ali Raza, Aiman Khan, Minal Khan, Ahsan Mohsin Ikram, Nadia Afghan, Hina Afridi, Hira Khan, Komal Meer, and Tamkenat raised their voice for Kashmiris and took an evident stand for them, constantly posting videos and stories, many didn’t speak.

There is a huge list of top Pakistani A-lister celebrities who didn’t take a stand for Kashmiris, and now social media users are calling for a boycott of those celebrities. Here are the names who preferred to remain silent out of fear of the Government and Pakistan Army: Hania Amir, Ayeza Khan, Sarah Khan, Wahaj Ali, Sajal Ali, Iqra Aziz, Maya Ali, Kubra Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Kinza Hashmi, Sana Javed, Fawad Khan, Ahad Raza Mir, Danish Taimoor, Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Imran Abbas, Muneeb Butt, Ali Rehman Khan, Sheheryar Munawar, Imran Ashraf, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Laiba Khan, Zara Noor Abbas, Sonya Hussyn, Hareem Farooq, Ayesha Omar, Komal Aziz Khan, Asim Azhar, Sachal Afzal, Azaan Sami Khan, Yashma Asad Gill, Saboor Ali, Ushna Shah-Amin, Ali Zafar, Naimal Khawar Khan, Sehar Khan, Komal Meer, Hiba Bukhari, Urwa Hocane, Mawra Hocane, Ramsha Khan, Saba Qamar, Feroze Khan, Mohib Mirza, Affan Waheed, and Farhan Saeed.


Bilal Abbas Khan, Hania Aamir, and Mahira Khan were among the celebrities who just reshared one Instagram post on their stories that too very late, after they were being called out by a huge number of followers.



The social media users are calling for a boycott of celebrities who remained silent, stating: “If they can’t speak up for basic humanity, they don’t deserve your support!” They used the hashtags #BoycottTheirSilence and #KashmirBleeds. Many fans are of the view that resharing or reposting the Instagram posts wasn’t enough and that these celebrities needed to make videos in time so that they could reach the masses and authorities.
