Pakistani dramas have gained a huge audience globally due to realistic storylines and melodramatic love stories. The push and pull between the leads and the emotions of the hero and heroine are what gain attention most of the time. But lately there has been a weird trend amongst our drama couples and it is seen more in the hit shows.
Pakistani drama heroines throwing out their beloved heros on wedding night is the latest trend that we are witnessing in our shows. After many episodes of angst and subsequent weddings, there is a throwing out the groom scene with either a contract of no intimacy or a vamp involved. Heros walk out either in anger or they are trying to make their newlywed brides comfortable.
Exhibit One: Shaidai is a drama which has been receiving high ratings. The leads Ali and Miral were so comfortable with each other. They hugged and hanged out together but as soon as they got married. Boom! Out of the room!
