The latest trend of blatant advertising in dramas is something that is not easily digestable for the viewers. Though mainstream media and advertising are important for each other, but the sanctity of the script and the filmed scenes need to be preserved in order to make the audience love the dramas. This is something that is being compromised in the latest dramas and this trend is unfortunately growing. This started with Suno Chanda when the show became a mega hit and consequently a gold mine for advertisers. The drama had advertising for Oppo, Sabroso and Al Karam. Specific ads were pulled from the drama later on:

Now product placement has touched a new peak in our dramas. This Ramadan we saw Dil Wali Gali Mein, a rather mature story helmed by a star director like Kashif Nisar being full of product placements. I was unnatural and in the face and it did not make any sense to have those scenes in the overall story. All these scenes are taken from Dil Wali Gali Mein which is meant to be a serious show and not an advertising film:

Meem Se Mohabbat is another drama that is gaining so much love from the audience. The characters shown in the drama are educated including Shariq who is a villain. They have access to knowledge and know what is cool but what the drama is promoting? Glow & Lovely aka formerly known as Fair & Lovely. The placement is so jarring that it shocks you. No way in hell is a girl like Mahi applying this cream early in the morning.

The audience is also fed up with all the product logos in all the corners of the scene. These logos were present in dramas as serious as Mann Jogi and Tan Man Neelo Neel. Thus, the makers need to understand that they should not drive the audience away with such practices and not take away from their own hard work!
