Muhammad Hilal emerged as a national hero amidst this crisis who single-handedly rescued seven people, gave an interview to Neo News. In his interview he narrated how he saved lives.
Talking about it, he said, “I am Muhammad Hilal from Swat. I have been doing rescue work for the past thirty-five years for the sake of Allah’s pleasure. I am a fisherman, and we’ve been rescuing people for years. We are eight brothers, and we do this work for our inner satisfaction.”
He further added that they have rescued many people and saved thousands of lives. He said, “I found out about the incident at 8:30 — it was already too late, but we still managed to save seven people. Unfortunately, due to traffic, we couldn’t reach the unfortunate family in time. I can’t describe the scene; I am still in shock over what happened. We are heartbroken and ashamed. I arrived at the end and rescued four people who were barely holding on. We found out late, but still managed to save seven lives. People were just standing there and filming.
