Recently, Pakistani digital creators have started a reality show based on Roadies concept. The show’s name is Funkaar which will be hosted by Azekah Daniel, Azlan Shah and Mubeen Ul Haq. An intense teaser of Funkaar has also been published on Meta Entertainment’s Facebook page.
Social media users are upset and angry at the subpar copy of Roadies and Living on the Edge. Fans are trolling the hosts and participants for creating a copy version with confidence. Many social media users are of the view that Pakistan needs to copy good things from other countries like India’s recent performances in cricket not such reality shows. A social media user wrote, “Living on the Edge Non PTA Approved”. Another wrote, “Cheap copy of Roadies. But why we are talented people why can’t we create our original content”. Fans didn’t like the show announcement during Ramadan. A fan stated, “Living on the Edge China version”. A fan of Funkaar hosts said, “Digital creators can do anything for money.
