The show has Saba Qamar and Usman Mukhtar as Malika and Raza and their marriage shows the reality of so many emotionally abusive marriages in Pakistan. Saba Qamar is giving a great performance as Malika in Pamaal. However, a debate started when in a recent episode, Raza loses his cool over Malika and she breaks down into tears. Saba’s face looked distorted and a debate started with many people thinking that the actress has done botox on her face. The “botox crying face” pictures also went viral.
The director of Pamaal has addressed this situation. He said that sometimes the angles and lighting in the scene are not good and actors also ask to change the clips. But in this case, though the lighting was not right, the scene looked very raw and real. Thus they let it go on-air and people started questioning if something was wrong with Saba’s face. The problem actually lied with camera angles.
