The cricket fans are getting crazy to see their teams to grab the trophy. Everyone is ready for the most highly awaited event in Pakistan. Once again foreign and national players are ready to hit boundaries and take wickets. But due to the current pandemic situation, there will be no crowd.

Pakistan Super League Fifth edition is almost completed but due to severe condition of covid-19, playoffs were suspended by PCB. Later, they announced the dates of playoffs and final in Lahore but due to severe smog here, all matches are now shifted to Karachi.

Playoffs Schedule and Point Table

  • 1st Play OFF on November 14: Multan Sultans v Karachi Kings – Qualifier (3 pm PKT, 10 am GMT)
  • 2nd Play OFF on November 14: Lahore Qalandars v Peshawar Zalmi – Eliminator (8 pm PKT, 3 pm GMT)
  • 3rd Play OFF on November 15: Loser of Qualifier v Winner of Eliminator (8 pm PKT, 3 pm GMT)
  • Final on November 17: TBD vs TBD (8 pm PKT, 3 pm GMT)

The tournament returns to action after an eight-month gap, as it was postponed on 17 March due to Covid-19 pandemic. Multan Sultans: Sultans topped the table at the end of the double-league round-robin group stage by winning six matches. While two of their matches ended in no-result due to rain, they faced losses in the other two.

The qualified teams include Multan Sultan, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars. Here are some glimpsing moments from each of these teams to remind you about their brilliant performances.

Head coach Dean Jones guided the side to a second-place finish, their highest in PSL history. The tragic twist of fate, won’t let him continue his job through after he died of a heart attack on September 25. Wasim Akram will now take the roles on the management side

We can surely say that after spending four hard years sitting at the bottom of the point table, Lahore Qalandars finally turned a corner, making their way into the playoffs for the first time. They have also struggled a lot to make a mark in the PSL and often finishing last. But finally, they succeeded in winning four out of the final five pool games to end this bad fortune.
