In a tragic incident in Chakwal, a 9-year-old girl, Hania Ahmed, lost her life after the vehicle carrying her family came under fire during an alleged CCD operation. The Australian-return family was reportedly traveling to Pakistan after Hajj. They were driving in their native city Chakwal when the robbers tried to mug them during which the CCD opened fire as a result of which nine years old Hania died on the spot, while her parents and brother sustained injuries.

According to initial reports, the firing was carried out without prior warning. Investigations into the incident are currently underway. As per available details, questions have been raised regarding whether the CCD followed the required standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the operation.
