Qarz e Jaan is a Hum TV’s critically acclaimed prime time drama serial which is near to its end. The drama serial has been written by Rabia Razzzaque and it has been directed by Saqib Khan. It is a Momina Duraid productions’ presentation. The cast features Yumna Zaidi and Usama Khan, Nameer Khan and others in the main leads.
Recently, the Qarz e Jaan writer has given an interview to a Canadian based digital creator Guriya. In the interview Qarz e Jaan writer admitted that she didn’t want to cast Yumna Zaidi. She also opened up about the flaws of Nashwa.
Talking about casting, she said, “Even for Nashwa, I initially thought she might fall out of the character’s age bracket, but Saqib said, “Don’t worry.” Then Yumna Zaidi performed extremely well. I actually had Sajal Aly in mind for Nashwa, but now I’m satisfied with how Yumna portrayed her. She truly looks the part. She doesn’t focus on just looking good on screen—she’s less concerned about things like her eyebrows or hair”
Talking about flaws in Nashwa’s character, she said, “I am clear about Nashwa — we can be brave, confident, and ambitious, but we still make mistakes. The most confident person often makes the most mistakes. Confidence can lead you to make more blunders in life. Now, we take Nashwa as a hero who can’t make mistakes, but she is one of us — a normal girl. She will make mistakes. Nashwa is a human being like us, and she will learn from her mistakes. It is a daily life story”.
