The writer of the show Rabia Razzaque spoke to Taar Media about her motivations to write this story and the messages she wanted to deliver.
Rabia Rzzaque said that they showed how widows can have a life too. With Bisma and Asim’s love story, she showed how you can start a new chapter in your life even if you are older. A man and a woman need more companionship after a certain age and she was able to convey that message. She said people need more support emotionally and otherwise at a mature age.

Rabia Razzaque also spoke about the importance of a career in a woman’s life. She said that she wanted to show through Qarz e Jaan how having your own career empowers you. The message of women empowerment and power of youth was relayed through Nashwa’s character.

With Ammar Bakhtiyar in Qarz e Jaan, she was able to show the importance of right parenting. With affirming wrong behaviour and not showing your child the right way to live your life, you destroy the whole family. She said that she knew that Ammar was a character who will make the audience and the drama characters cry. She said that the upbringing that parents give a child comes back. What Ammar did was dependent on both his nature and wrong upbringing by his grandma and father.
