Speaking about mental health issues, Rabia Noreen said, “To be honest, I came to understand the importance of mental health after going through a personal depressive phase. I faced a very difficult time after the death of Abid Ali. Normally, that phase is called depression. In depression, you lose interest in life. It was a very difficult period — you stop eating, stop meeting people, and don’t feel like laughing, picking up the phone, or doing daily chores. You don’t even share your well-being with others. My siblings helped me deal with depression; they took me out, and my brother, who is a homeopathic doctor, supported me a lot. But most importantly, it is you who has to bring yourself out of depression. If you don’t make the effort, you won’t beat depression and your physical health will also deteriorate. Also remember that your physical and mental health are interconnected. Whenever you feel lifeless or hopeless, take notice of it and try to recover.” Watch here:
