In May, 2025, India and Pakistan got engaged in a conflict after India attacked Pakistan, accusing it of a false flag operation in Pahalgam. The Pakistan Army responded with restraint, but when India did not stop, Pakistan air force destroyed multiple Indian air bases and electricity stations. Pakistan air force also downed six Indian Rafale jets. Following the conflict, both nations boycotted each other at all levels. However, Bollywood announced multiple anti-Pakistani movies and began working on them. Indian actor Ranveer Singh is also part of one such film.
Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for his upcoming anti Pakistan film Dhurandhar in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. A video from the set of the film was leaked for fans in which Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal can be seen with a Pakistani flag. In the film he is playing the character of an Indian spy in Pakistan. Pakistani fans are quite angry with Bollywood’s yet another cheap move. One user said, “They make movies against Pakistan, and our celebrities are even afraid to speak out, fearing they might lose their fan following.” Another stated, “Now even the letter ‘P’ of Pakistan will be criticized by Indians.” A third commented, “This is clearly a Pakistan-based propaganda movie by Bollywood.” Someone else added, “They only do this to please themselves, but they make Punjabi films and release them in Pakistan for business—like ‘Chal Mera Putt 4’ is coming out—this too should be banned in Pakistan.” A fan, expressing anger, said, “People are strange, brother. Just stop it and bring a new story. How long will you keep making movies against Pakistan to protect Bollywood’s so-called reputation? Fine, we don’t even have a proper film industry, but what are Bollywood filmmakers doing? They’re producing weird and pathetic movies with no story and no quality.” Read the comments:
