Rashid Mehmood recently appeared on Ambreen Fatima’s YouTube channel. In his short interview, he talked about Saud’s controversial remarks about Shaan Shahid and Syed Noor. He also shared his thoughts on celebrities criticizing each other.
Talking about Saud’s unnecessary criticism, Rashid Mehmood said, “Saud came into the industry because of Parvaiz Kaleem. He wasn’t an inspiring actor; he got fame and recognition through this industry. His gave dead flop films before Syed Noor’s film Hawaain. There are multiple people involved in the decline of films. It went down due to the unprofessional people. Trendsetters should be credited; you won’t become famous after defaming legends like Syed Noor who is a star maker.”
Talking about Shaan Shahid, he said, “Shaan Shahid is the pride of Pakistan who can’t be replaced; he has the potential to do any kind of action role without faking it. These are gimmicks of people to call out the actors with bigger stature”. He also didn’t like Nasir Adeeb’s statements about co-actors.
He further added, “Genuine artists, who are perfect in their craft, are always recognised globally. Many people came and tried to take over the industry, but they can’t be called artists. It’s okay; we also need decoration pieces too. I think it is a very bad habit to pass undue comments about famous artists. Legendary artists should be respected, as film making and content creation is not a one-man show. Artists who work together do wonders”
