Rashid Mehmood is a veteran star of Pakistan. He started his career as a radio broadcaster and later on she started working on television and films. He is among the biggest names of Pakistan who have worked for years. The actor is known not just for his exceptional talent and range in his acting. He is also known for his bold stances and the way he raises his voice for the right.
PTV is the institute where many of our biggest stars got their break. They have worked in the classics which will always live on. Rashid Mehmood is one such star and he has appeared in many classics of PTV. In a recent podcast appearance, he spoke out about how PTV despite being the parent institute of many has insulted their own talent and Rashid was not having any of it.
Rashid Mehmood revealed that he once received a cheque of 600 rupees from PTV for a program he had recorded. He was furious, not because he felt insulted. He felt how all other fellow artists might not even have received this amount either. He went to the PTV and protested. Later he announced that he will never work with PTV again and he has till date not to work in any other PTV project.
