Actress Saima Qureshi recently made headlines on social media after her podcast for FHM went viral. In the podcast, she gave assertive statements about men and women. Saima Qureshi said that women’s earnings can’t bring prosperity and auspiciousness. She also advocated the islamic ideology of multiple marriages with reference to Pakistani society. Recently, Reham Khan has also responded to her viral remarks.
Talking about Saima Qureshi’s viral statements, Reham Khan said, “There is a Pakistani female actor whose interview clips are going viral. I also watched those clips and got angry at her statement. She basically said that there is no prosperity or abundance in women’s earnings. It’s very easy to say this, but in doing so, she is insulting those women who have no choice but to earn for themselves instead of waiting for men’s ‘blissful’ earnings. Her hypocrisy and lack of insight further led her to say that women mention about their earnings and spending on family. Many are agreeing to Saima Qureshi, saying that she talked according to Pakistani society while many working women are praising Reham Khan for raising her voice for them who had no choice in life but to earn for their children.
