Talking about it, Saba Faisal said, “This is a known fact to all that after lunch, a nap helps digest food, and after dinner, a walk helps digest food. If we see, these things have been deleted from our lives because of our busy routines, but these are necessary things. It is better that a mother-in-law herself allows her daughter-in-law to take a break for a nap, but if that’s not the situation, ask for it yourself in a softer tone, like, ‘Should I take a nap for a while?’ But if you order the in-laws by saying, ‘Now I’m tired sitting here, I’m going to sleep,’ this will be considered inappropriate.”
Social media users, especially married women, have taken offence at her advice. One wrote, “Please, no one does that. This isn’t the 18th century—move with the time and trends.” Another wrote, “Aunty spent all her life pleasing her in-laws.” A married woman wrote, “Oh, so we take permission for only a 15-minute nap?
