In response to the contestant bride’s question, “I am soon getting married but I feel that my in laws taunt me a lot. How will I cope with this situation in the future?” Saba Faisal replied, “Currently, your fiancé is happy with you. But let me tell you, I rarely see sons change after marriage. Okay, sometimes it happens—but still, their preference is usually to follow their mother’s path. Right now, they are in a different phase, full of romance, but eventually, they will choose what suits them best. In Pakistan, marriage is not just between two individuals; it is a union between two families. So, it is necessary to build love and a strong bond between both families. Marriages here often survive on the unity between families. When there are differences, both girls and boys end up suffering”.
Saba further added, “Your mother in law being negative towards you is a separate issue, but I believe you may face difficulties in the future. Maybe your husband will leave his family for you, which you might think is good for now—but remember, a man who can leave his family for you might also leave you one day. Maybe you’ll get the life you’ve always wanted. I hope your husband will be able to fulfill your wishes.
