The Yaqeen Ka Safar duo Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir also shipped by fans as “Sahad” won more than just hearts with their performances, the couple won big in the Hum Awards held three days prior on the night of 28th July in Toronto.
The onscreen couple bagged the Best Couple award as well as Best Actor and Best Actress accolades.
Sajal’s sister, Saboor Aly, took to Instagram to share a beautiful picture of the pair, holding their trophies. She also a penned heartfelt note on the duo’s journey.
The older of the two sisters penned,
“This is just not an adorable picture for me; it is a reminder for me as to how two people can achieve greatness together,”
She continued,
“From the moment Sajal started working with Ahad in their first project, I knew that these two will create a great chemistry on screen as Ahad was just as hardworking as my sister; these awards are a proof of that,”
She further added,
“With so much to offer, these two have been immensely humble throughout their success and that is what makes them special to me and to the entire fans circle.”
She continued to explain how proud she is of her baby sister for sweeping all the nominations she was selected in, The O Rangreza starlet won six awards.
“For the first time in the fraternity’s history, a nominee won all awards where she was nominated for. This clean sweep speaks volumes of sheer commitment! I am utterly proud of you, Sajal. Trust me I know, Amma would have been even prouder!”
Saboor Aly continued to add,
“I won’t be a fool in forgetting how Ahad has kept his head down and remained strong amidst all the critics, focusing on his work – only to be awarded graciously!”
She concluded by adding,
“If there is anyone I know who should have received this award, it is you! Congratulations! I am so happy for you both, keep up the great work and keep everyone entertained; you guys deserved it!”
The Ahad, Sajal starrer, Yakeen Ka Safar received five awards at the ceremony.
