He has now spoken about the infamous Pakistan Idol controversy and clarified everything.

Recently, Sajjad Ali’s song Ravi was sung on an Indian Punjabi singing show. Two young men were beautifully singing the song but people started questioning why Sajjad did not object to this while he did not allow his music on Pakistan Idol.

Sajjad Ali took to Instagram and categorically denied giving permission to the Indian show for using his music. He shared that they did a cover of his song without any permission. He praised their talent and said that his team will look into it.

The legendary singer also shared how copyright laws work all over the world. He praised Pakistan Idol and all the talent on the show. He then explained how he is a self-financed talent and it his right to get paid by big show corporations if his songs are used. That is what he spoke about back then and it was not that he does not want Pakistanis to sing his songs.
