Today, Salma Zafar was a guest on Madeha Naqvi’s morning show Subh Ka Samaa, which airs on Samaa TV. During the show, she opened up about sacrificing her own desires for her children.

Talking about it, Salma Zafar said, “We make a big mistake when we don’t care for ourselves. It is obvious that no one will respect us if we don’t love ourselves. I’ve learned this now. My life was very busy and full of struggles. I remember once standing at Teen Talwar after getting my nose pierced. At that time, I wanted to buy a nose ring worth 2,000 PKR. My friend asked me to buy it, but I didn’t. This upset my daughter so much. She has always been concerned about why I never shopped for myself. I always kept money for the kids and never bought anything for myself. I only received gifts from others including sisters, friends and daughter. Now that the kids are grown up and married, my daughter still feels this deeply. She often brings clothes for me, and now my wardrobe is full. Alhamdulillah. One should not make this mistake in life. Mothers do this because it satisfies them regardless of what others feel of their sacrifices” Here is the link to the video:
