Sanam Saeed is a versatile Pakistani television and film actor known for her hit dramas including Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Shak, Mera Naseeb, Kadoorat, Deedan, Diyar E Dil and others. Fans also loved her films Ishrat Made in China, Bachana and Maah e Mir. Last year, Sanam Saeed also faced backlash for working in Indian famous series Barzakh. She recently, made a comeback with an important drama serial Main Manto Nahi Hoon alongside Humayun Saeed. In the drama serial, she is portraying Miss Maria’s character who is secretly in love with Mr Manto.
Recently, she appeared in Something Haute’s talk show in which she revealed that she changed Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s problematic sentences where it was needed.
Talking about it, Sanam Saeed said, “I was worried about doing a Khalil ur Rehman Qamar script, I was saying to me that what am I doing it or even how am I doing it, but I was quite confident about changing certain things because of his past work that has gone by. I thought that it should change now, time has changed and we should not speak insensitive things. I wanted a few things to be changed like I was of the view that we can reconstuct a sentence. Now is the time that someone like me should say that I’m not doing it. I didn’t also let my colleagues speak a few sentences because they were sensitive or inappropriate for example there were little expressions, or to laugh off at a bad behaviour. I was of the opinion that such behaviour should be called out and one should repent for that and only Nadeem can do that because of his relationship with Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar.
