The story, performances and direction are all being praised and people are feeling uncomfortable about a woman doing the same thing which a man did in the show. Sania Saeed plays Nafeesa aka Maa Jee who is always putting down Beena. The brilliant actress now explains why Beena ran away with a sabziwala.
Beena ran away with Behram aka Sabziwala and this has caused an uproar among the fans. Many are not even able to comprehend how to take this. Sania Saeed explains this plot point from Aap Ki Izzat and what she as Sania thinks about this decision.
Sania Saeed said that she as a woman will not judge Beena because as Aap Ki Izzat shows, Beena has no weapons to fight for her dignity. She has been crushed and sidelined by everyone. She is also a woman who was taught by society that she is her huband’s Izzat. She has no identity of her own. Thus she harms herself in order to harm him. She ran away as she felt that is the only way to humiliate Tabish. If Beena was an educated woman with her own agency, she would have separated from Tabish a long time ago.
