Sargodha city got in the news yesterday for a horrific crime. 7 year old Muntaha went to buy snacks when she was taken, brutally raped and murdered. Her case reminded the world of Zainab Ansari case from Kasur and there was a huge uproar and demand for justice.
Police had arrested suspects from the shop where the child’s body was found. Now, reports are coming out that the suspect was killed by CCD while they were taking him to court. The news has been taken by skepticism by the victim’s family as well as general public.
Muntaha’s uncle spoke to the media in Sargodha. He shared that he has heard the news of an encounter. Why have they not been shown anything or anyone? They cannot just sit back and hear unverified news. He demanded justice for his niece and the family:
Muntaha’s father and the local politician also spoke to the media. Her father shared that she used to go for snacks. When she did not come back, he went for search and saw that she went inside the shop but did not come out. Police is working with them and he just wants justice. The politician revealed that Muntaha was raped and her neck wascut when the body was recovered.

The general public is shaken and they are also asking questions. One person wrote, “Show those criminals to the world. This should happen infront of the world.” Another added, “These people should be punished infront of everyone, not in isolation.” One said, “No one gets justice here.” This is the reaction:
