Sarwat Gilani is a remarkable Pakistani TV actor known for her great choices of roles in both television and film. She has starred in hit dramas like Azar Ki Ayegi Baraat, Mere Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley, Meri Zaat Zarra e Benishan, Zakhm, Mata e Jaan Hai Tu, Mann Piyasa, Seeta Baagri and Khasara. Sarwat is also known for her impactful performances in hit Pakistani film Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 1 & 2.
Recently, Sarwat Gilani appeared in Maliha Rehman’s YouTube show, where she opened up about Humayun Saeed production team’s behaviour during Jawani Phir Nahi Aani promotions.
Talking about it, Sarwat Gilani said, “Nowadays I am running away from Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 3. Nadeem Baig is a darling, and I love that team, including Humayun Saeed and Ahmed Ali Butt. I revisited Gul in part 2, and I don’t want to be doing that again. Also, if you want to work again after six years with other actors, you have to maintain your relationships well, but it wasn’t like that with this team. They didn’t keep in touch and were quite mean once their work was done. Not only that, but during the JPNA 2 promotions, things weren’t good either. They were going to London, but they completely snubbed me. Although I booked everything, they didn’t respond with confirmation or even reply. It felt like they used me and threw me away after their work was done. I could have gone on my own, but since they didn’t respond, I felt hurt and betrayed. So, when they talk about JPNA 3, I laugh at them — how can they forget their behaviour? They convinced me to do the second one even though I didn’t want to. They cut me from the second spell in JPNA 1, and they repeated it in JPNA 2. If you’re not going to give the character and actor their due importance, then you’re being unfair. So no, I will not compromise on my self-respect. Once you can fool me, but not always.
