Saud Qasmi is a Pakistani TV and film actor and producer who is known for his versatile roles in numerous hit Pakistani feature films. He has also produced successful TV serials like Yeh Zindagi Hai and Khuda Aur Mohabbat. The actor is married to Javeria Saud, and the couple has two children. Recently, he earned praise for his performances in popular Pakistani dramas such as Baby Baji, Muhabbat Starangi, and Baby Baji ki Bahuwain.
In a recent appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Saud Qasmi criticized ace Pakistani actor and director Shaan Shahid for his career choices.
Talking about Shaan Shahid, Saud Qasmi said,”Shaan should stop pointing out mistakes in others and focus on fixing his own shortcomings; only then can he become a better person. In my opinion, it is wrong to criticize others. I have already told him that he should stop doing so. There is a time for everything, and the learning process never ends. An actor is always in search of good work and constantly improving their craft”
Saud Qasmi also said that Pakistani film industry was destroyed by Shaan Shahid, Syed Noor and others. He said, “Lollywood was destroyed by many individuals, including some who have now passed away. It suffered significant losses due to people like Shaan, Syed Noor, and others who were only interested in their personal benefits. They didn’t work as professionals, unlike those in the Bollywood film industry. People signed multiple films that they couldn’t handle. Actors were also doing multiple films at the same time—we were among them.”
He further added, “Me, Moammar Rana, and Shaan sat together and decided not to work in bad films that were promoting guns and fights. We all made the decision together, but they signed those films, and I refused. As a result, producers boycotted me, so I came to Karachi and got married”
