Sehar Hayat is one of the most followed Pakistani digital creators, with a substantial fan following of 3 million on Instagram. Sehar Hayat’s viral wedding with Sami Rasheed in 2023 put them into the limelight, as it was a lavish affair attended by numerous social media celebrities and considered one of the most heavily budgeted weddings. The couple welcomed their first child in 2024, but soon after the childbirth, they developed differences, followed by a divorce in September 2025. After her divorce, Sami Rasheed accused Sehar publicly of forcefully obtaining khula from him.
Now, Sehar Hayat has admitted that she has taken khula from Sami Rasheed. She has also shared the reasons why she decided to divorce. Sehar said that Sami had been abusive and had been taking financial advantages and was also bringing up her past in conversations, which she found disrespectful.
Talking on her official Instagram, Sehar Hayat shared, “Hi everyone, I woke up to the hearsay about me on social media which I want to clarify. Yes, I have taken khula from my husband because I daily used to hear threats of divorce. He used to say every day, ‘Should I divorce you? Should I let you know your worth in three words?’ He used to abuse me in front of his parents and family. After such disgrace, a woman is only left with the choice of khula.”
She further added, “He didn’t remember his daughter for a year, but now he is posting about her for social media reach. He hasn’t given even a single penny for my daughter’s expenses, yet talks about missing her. And yes, he mentioned my past in his stories. If he can bring up and discuss my past publicly on social media, then obviously he must be doing the same off camera as well. People just start believing on what they are told.But no worries, I have more than enough to prove myself. By the way, my car still hasn’t been returned.
