Shafi Muhammad Shah was a legendary Pakistani television actor who began acting in 1980. His notable dramas include Akhri Chattan, Aanch, Teesra Kinara, Bund Gulab, Chand Girahan, Tapish, Zeenat, Noori Jam Tamachi, Jungle, Zara Si Aurat, and Talash, among others. Shafi Muhammad Shah passed away on November 17, 2007, at the age of 58. At the time of his death, he left behind a loving family, including his children and wife. A few months ago, we heard the shocking news of second daughter’s death.
Shafi Mohammad’s eldest daughter is quite active on social media, where she often shares memories of her parents. Today, on her late father Shafi Mohammad’s 77th birthday, she shared a heartwarming note along with a memorable picture of her parents, revealing the details of where the photo was taken.
Taking it to Instagram, Shafi Muhammad’s daughter wrote, “My mother told me the story behind this photograph. It was taken shortly after my parents got married. They were at the home of their friends(Bushra Ansari’s residence), who had asked them to stay for dinner. While they waited, Baba was excitedly showing Ama a newspaper article about their marriage. I look at this photograph and cannot help but imagine what that moment must have felt like. Simple. New love. Exploring a marriage that happened in 13 days. The smile on Baba’s face. The charm. Two people, newly married. Still getting to know one another. Sitting on the floor of a friend’s home, waiting for dinner, while he proudly shows his newly wedded wife something written about them, excitingly. And there she is, quietly reading it. There is something about photographs from that time. No posing for an audience. Not knowing that one day, thousands of people would look at this moment. Just someone’s camera capturing two young people and an ordinary evening that would, decades later, become a beautiful memory. Before everything Baba became, before the world knew him for his charm and his extraordinary talent, he was simply this young man, excitedly showing his wife a newspaper. And she was simply his young wife, sitting beside him. Perhaps that is what I love most about this photograph. Happy 77th Birthday, Baba.”
She further added, “Happy Birthday, Shafi Muhammad The world remembers you.
But as your daughter, I think one of the greatest privileges of my life is that I get to remember you as my father”
