Talking about it, Shahzad Nawaz said, “The Pride of Performance award has not been given to so many deserving people. It’s not just me saying that; it is real, it’s on record. And if I get it anytime, I will refuse to take it. In the first place, I don’t even want to be nominated for it because there are so many deserving people who have never received it. My ethics don’t even allow me to accept any such awards. When the state gives such awards, it doesn’t only honor the artist but also honors itself.
