Uzair Abbasi was a versatile and talented Pakistani artist, best known for his remarkable performance in the drama serials Sar e Raah and Inteqam. In Inteqam, he played the role of Rasheed Baba. The show received impressive viewership and TRPs. Uzair Abbasi was a familiar face to Pakistani television audiences, admired for his exceptional acting skills and eloquent Urdu diction. His other notable acting projects include Karachi Division (2021), Bashu (2023), Heer Ranjha (2012), and Khilona. Uzair Abbasi belonged to a film and television family — his elder brother, Zubair Abbasi, was a renowned producer and director. He was also the chachu (uncle) of actor Shamoon Abbasi.
Recently, Shamoon Abbasi shared the heartbreaking news of his uncle’s passing, expressing his deep sorrow. Taking to social media, he wrote: “My beloved chachu, my inspiration, my friend, my mentor left us today. Please recite Surah-e-Fatiha for his departed soul.” Shamoon also shared details about Uzair Abbasi’s funeral.
