Sheheryar Munawar is a handsome and talented Pakistani model, actor, and producer. His hit dramas include Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Pehli Si Muhabbat, Kuch Ankahi, Sinf-e-Aahan, and Aye Ishq-e-Junoon. Nowadays, fans are praising his phenomenal performance as Abubakar in ARY Digital’s hit drama series Dar-e-Nijat.

Recently, Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui gave an interview to Haroon Rasheed for the BBC, where he opened up about Abubakar’s true feelings for Zaryab.

Sheheryar Munawar revealed, “Abubakar has always loved Zaryab; that’s how I played it. Like you see, they have been going to her house, and he is always sneaking a few looks here and there. In his heart, he loves Zaryab. Yes, his mind often tells him that she is not the girl for him, which is maybe why there is a scene where he clearly tells her he doesn’t want a certain type of girl. This is at his fingertips—he has thought about it even though he loves her in his heart. For example, when they went to lunch together, he said to Zaryab, ‘You like pasta,’ to which she replied, ‘How do you know?’ He said he remembered because Kishwar Khala mentioned it once. Why would he remember something like that if he didn’t like Zaryab? I added those hints deliberately to help people understand that he loves her; that’s how it makes sense. He is not perfect. In my opinion, Abubakar has flaws. He’s a people pleaser. Imagine a person living with the burden of constantly having to think about others. We are all people pleasers—I know I have a tough time saying no. He is also suffering from a savior complex because his mother brought him up in a way that ingrained in him that this is the right thing to do. Abubakar feels he has to do this, he has to save this person, and he has to be there for them.” Watch here:
