Shehzad Roy is a singer, musician and activist who has worked a lot on the progress of education in Pakistan through his trust Zindagi. He has won several awards including the highest civilian awards by the Government of Pakistan or his work for earthquake victims as well as his efforts in the education sector.
Shehzad Roy has spoken to Fuchsia Magazine about his work with schools and his motivations behind all the good that he does in the country. Shehzad shared that he actually does not do any of the good work with the motivation of sawab. He shared that his mother does a lot of charitable deeds for sawab like helping others financially or getting someone married but that has never been his motivation.
He said that his motivation is bringing reforms in the education sector as reforms are what will bring equity in society. He is doing this because he wants everyone to have euqla opportunities in this country and he has fought tooth and nail to get that done.
