Shoaib Malik is a former Pakistani cricketer who represented the national team for more than 20 years after making his international debut in 1999. As an all-rounder, he played important matches and series for Pakistan and set multiple records. He was also part of Pakistan’s victorious 2009 ICC World Twenty20-winning squad and the ICC Champions Trophy-winning squad. He married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza in a high-profile cross-border wedding in 2010. The couple welcomed their son, Izhaan, in 2018 but parted ways after years together, shortly after their son turned four. Although Shoaib Malik is now married to Sana Javed, he often takes time out to spend time with his son, Izhaan Mirza Malik.

During their previous meetup, the father and son played a short football match, which Izhaan lost. This time, Izhaan challenged his father, admitting that he had a bad day previously but he would win this time and will score four goals in 10 attempts and upon winning his father will take him to cinema for Spiderman movie.
