Shuja Asad just played Barlas Khan in the recently concluded blockbuster Khaie. The drama was a big hit with the masses and his character put him on the map and made him everyone’s favourite despite Barlas having several flaws of character. He was one of the few who were able to stay till the end of Khaie as the blood bath was on going. He was a guest on Eid special for Hasna Mana Hai and shared some behind the scenes of the show.
He shared how they shot that impactful grave scene. He said that Faysal Quraishi was in a zone as he had to film his son being burried while he actually felt peaceful as he went and laid down in that grave with Faysal standing over him when they shot that scene of Barlas’s burial.

He also talked about the greatness of Khalid Butt Sahab and how he was intimidated by his talent and how professional he was. He revealed that the senior actor used to watch Pushto shows to make his accent better and he will always give his 100%. The subtlety of Durab Khan was also his idea which finally made his character look so menacing.
