Sidra Iqbal is a host and anchor who has been working on Pakistani television for years now. She is known for her graceful style and how she carries the shows without sensationalism. She was a guest on the FHM podcast and she spoke about the Indo-Pak war, how media has evolved over the years and extra-marital affairs which are increasing in society.
Sidra Iqbal has a very unique opinion on extra-marital affairs. She said that the person she will pity the most is a 40 year old man in our society. This is a person who grew up and saw his father getting the royal treatment as he earned for the household while his mother was a full time housewife. She would take care of the family and she would always treat her husband like a God. Thus this man wanted the same treatment in his life. But things changed for him. Today. this man’s wife goes to work herself while his children are also confident enough to question him. Thus he is not getting his fantasized respect from anywhere.
Sidra Iqbal said that this is the reason that we are seeing so many extra-marital affairs in society nowadays. The man seeks validation and he will take it from anywhere. The host went on to add that according to her opinion, a man should behave like a man. If he is not fulfilled in a relationship, he should directly talk to his wife. They should either improve that relationship or he should walk out of it. She does not believe in what men today do. They hide what they are doing from their wives and play victim when they are caught.
