The Pakistani music industry has many big names and Haniya Aslam is one such artist who brought a unique freshness to Pakistan’s music scene. Haniya Aslam was the one half of iconic band Zeb and Haniya where she partnered with her cousin and another famous artist Zeb Bangash. Zeb and Haniya gave some evergreen songs that are still as fresh as they were when they came out including Bibi Sanam Janam. The sad news came today when the world got to know that Haniya Aslam is no more.
Haniya Aslam was an NCA alumnus and she started her musical journey alongside Zeb Bangash. The duo went on to work for Coke Studio and gave music scores for OSTs and films even. Haniya Aslam was a very gifted artist and the beautiful blend of Sufi and modern music that she brought will always be cherished. She passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest.
