Sonya just gave an interview to Independent Urdu and she spoke about her film career. She has worked in films like Azaadi and Tich Button. She shared the Pakistani star she would love to work with in a film. She said Fawad Khan is great but she would love to work with Ali Zafar as he looked great in films.

She also shared that she was offered several Bollywood films before things went sour between India and Pakistan. She was offered a Shakesperean adaptation, a remake of an old classic and one film with Emraan Hashmi. She had a meeting for the Emraan Hashmi film but rejected it as her family was not too understanding of her work back then and she was also too young for it.
