Sunny Deol is a popular Bollywood actor who has been appearing in Indian films for around 45 years. His timeless classics include Ghayal, Damini, Border, and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. He is famous for portraying intense, patriotic, and frequently anti-Pakistani roles, but off-screen, he shares a warm, respectful, and cordial relationship with his Pakistani fanbase.
Nowadays, Sunny Deol is promoting his period film Batwara (1947), which features the historical events that took place during the India-Pakistan Partition in 1947. The film was released today, August 14, 2026, in India and many other countries.
Recently, in an interview, Sunny Deol shared his experience of visiting the Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan.
Talking about it, Sunny Deol said, “I haven’t been to Pakistan except when the Kartarpur Corridor was opened. Since it was in my constituency, I had to be part of the delegation visiting Kartarpur. I got a lot of love in Pakistan. Everywhere, soldiers also expressed their love, saying, ‘Don’t do such movies which are anti-Pakistan, as we love you so much.’ I would say, who doesn’t love his country? If you love us, we will love you. If you talk against us, we will talk against you. If you fight, we will fight. At the time of war, we only see if someone is attacking our homeland, we have to respond to that. That’s it. Otherwise, we don’t have any animosity. People are genuinely loving on both sides.” Watch here:
