Saiyaara is a new Indian movie that was released on 18th July. It is a musical romantic drama film, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie stars debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and it is a loose adaptation of the 2004 Korean film “A Moment to Remember”. The film is being praised internationally and is doing a great business. Overseas Pakistanis are also watching Saiyaara and are praising the storyline.
Suno Chanda fame Pakistani writer Saima Akram Chaudhary has also watched the movie and shared her reviews on the film. Saima Akram Chaudhary’s post reads, “Why is the entire India acting like Saiyaara is a perfect movie? It feels like the whole of India has sworn to make this film “Sayyarah” a success. Their youth have surpassed the Saiyaara actors in overacting. Their general public is so cringe, I mean—Gen Z is fainting in cinemas, eating detergent—just completely over the top…!!!
Social media users are trolling Saika Akram Chaudhary with many saying that she should focus on her upcoming drama scripts. Many Pakistanis praised the movie as well. A social media user wrote,”It’s a wonderful movie with great acting by both newcomers but I don’t know how a wise woman writer like you doesn’t like it, and yes not only India but we Pakistani also love it and ask from the industry to bring masterpieces like this to Pakistani cinemas too if you can write only”. Another said, “Why are you getting jealous of Indian cinema’s success, instead you should play a part in uplifting Pakistani cinema through good writeups” A fan wrote, “Saima Jee, as if your dramas don’t have overacting? Especially during Ramadan, when you people churn out those pointless, substandard dramas featuring famous faces just to get ratings—and then you take all the credit! The writing isn’t good either, and on top of that, you disrespect the sanctity of Ramadan. What about that?” Another pointed out, “It’s better to focus on creating meaningful stories and produce them in Lollywood, instead of constantly commenting on Bollywood.” A fan stated, “Why does she even care? Just focus on your own work. Let them do what they want. What does Pakistan have to do with it?” Read the comments here:
