Syed Noor is a famous senior Pakistani film director and writer known for delivering numerous Lollywood blockbusters. His hit films are Ghoonghat, Jeeva, Sargam, Sangam, Majaajan, Choorian, and Dupatta Jal Raha Hai, Mehndi Wale Hath and Hawaein. In his personal life, he is married to the notable actress Saima Khan. Before this marriage, he was married to journalist, poet, and scriptwriter Rukhsana Noor, who wrote for his hit films including Choorian and Majajan. Sadly, Rukhsana Noor passed away in 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Recently, Syed Noor appeared on The Sani Podcast, where he responded to the criticism made by Resham and Saud against him.

While replying to Resham, Syed Noor said, “If losing her was my loss, then why couldn’t she prove herself as a big actor? What did she do? Her first five films with me were superhits — Dupatta Jal Raha Hai, Ghoonghat, Jeeva — all were hits. She didn’t suit every character, that’s why I worked with others. Resham didn’t deliver any big film after I stopped working with her; all she did was bold work. I delivered multiple hits films later, with other actors too. I worked hard to create Resham’s career, and I will never tell how I groomed her.”
Syed Noor also responded to Saud Qasmi’s criticism, saying, “I still think that Saud didn’t intend to say anything negative about me. Even if he did, let me stay in my delusion that he didn’t. I know why he said it — maybe he meant that after Syed Noor and Shaan Shahid gave up, the film industry suffered. They are like my kids; I don’t feel bad about their criticism. Also, those who can’t reach your level will always criticize you. He’s a great actor, and it’s his right to say whatever he wants about me.”
